Wendell Waves

• Registration meeting is Sunday, May 3rd - 2pm to 4pm at Wendell Swim Club.
• The first practice on May 18th is a dry practice so bring your running shoes.
• Evening practices start May 19th - Times to be announced
• Morning practices begin June 15th- Times to be announced
• Team pictures are Thursday, May 21st at 6:00pm.
• A time trial event will take place Tuesday, June 2nd at 6:00pm.
• Year-end awards party is Saturday, July 18th 5-8pm at the pool.

Please visit the Wendell Waves Swim Suit Store to order our new 2026 season suit. These will be a multi-year swim suit for swimmers. There will be a sizing kit available at the 5/3 meeting.

The Wendell Swim Club is proud to be the home of the Wendell Waves, a competitive swim team in Division 8 North of the Tarheel Swimming Association, a summer league for Wake County teams.  As a team, the Wendell Waves focus on good sportsmanship, physical fitness, stroke technique and team spirit. 

The swim season begins with practice in mid-May. There are six regular swim meets in June and July.  Three of these meets are home meets and three are away. 

In addition to swimming, team members enjoy daily practices, social events and a year-end awards banquet. Swim practice is offered both mornings and evenings to accommodate working parents and year-round students.

The Wendell Waves swim team is open to Wendell Swim Club members ages 4-18 with basic swimming skills.  If your child is a non-swimmer, please take advantage of swim lessons offered at Wendell Swim Club.  

The team uses the BAND app for communication during the season, so feel free to download the BAND app ahead of time!
